The Top 3 Ways New Moms Are Increasing Their Energy Naturally

It’s 2:43 in the morning and all through the house, not a creature was snoring…

wait…

that’s my husband…

and that’s our newborn whaling in the other room!

(how can men sleep through anything?)

I just want to sleeeeeep“!

So you just delivered your new bundle of joy (or bundles of joy) recently and the lack of sleep is finally catching up to you.

You poured juice in your oats (again) this morning instead of water…

You’ve gone six days now without showering…

You forgot another darn important event…

It happens.

There’s no one book that can prepare you for what it’s like raising a baby, so be patient with yourself and laugh it off 🙂

What I’m going to share with you below are effective, natural remedies that will naturally increase your alertness, focus and physical & mental energy – and pretty quick too, might I add.

  • Change your clothes and put on some make up. I know, I know…. “but I’m not going anywhere and the whole reason why I’m reading the blog post  is because I’m tired and now you want me to do what!?” I’m a stay at home mom and, at this point, have been for almost six years. Believe me, I get it how much more comfortable being in pajama bottoms and a tank top is all day. I mean, besides my gym clothes I’m usually in them – don’t judge. But I do have to say, I feel more like my old self, pre-baby, when I wake up, throw on some jeans, a cute top and slap on some eye shadow and mascara. Do me a favor… tomorrow after you wake up and before you do the next two things, get dressed up and throw on some makeup. You don’t have to go all Kim K. on me, just a little sumpim’-sumpim.
  • Take a 10 minute brisk walk. According to a study in Personality and Social Psychology all it takes is a 10 minute walk and you’ll have enough energy for the next two hours. Talk about a trade out! Not only that, Vitamin D is super important for your mood. Lack of Vitamin D is linked to depression and mood disorders, so it’s a super important, super easy vitamin to get. If it’s a hot day out be sure to bring a small bottle of water with you 🙂
  • Infuse peppermint essential oil in your bedroom. If you’re not comfortable with having the smell of peppermint floating around in your bedroom (or wherever you hang out the most without baby) you can drop two drops on your palms, rub them together and inhale a couple of deep breaths. Essential oils are great to have on hand for all sorts of things – headaches, muscle aches, stress, immune health, etc. Another place you can apply them is on the bottom of your feet (use a roller) because you have thousands of pores there and they get into your bloodstream super quick. If you have any questions about a brand or scent leave me your comment here. *I’m not affiliated, nor am I partners with anyone from an essential oil company.

I hope you found this helpful!

More important to me is I hope you implement these things because I know for a fact that they work and I want you to be on your A game (not Zzzzz game) everyday.

Sharing this blog post shows me that it helped you and also helps support me and my family. If you could copy and paste the website link and share it with your friends (on social media) it would mean the world to me.

What do you do when your energy is low?

Will you try these?
