Raspberry Ketones and Weight Loss

The new word on the street is that raspberry ketones are the hot new weight loss supplement out there today. Dr. Oz even did an episode talking all about it, claiming, “raspberry ketones are the number one miracle in a bottle to burn fat and cause fat cells to shrink.” The day following this statement, vitamin shops couldn’t even keep them on the shelves – they were flying off the shelves too fast. Do you remember the last craze – acai and before that, green tea? Many of these supplements today offer the same thing – suppressed appetite, higher metabolism and weight loss. While all of these supplements listed do have very beneficial key ingredients, they should not be the ‘cure all – be all’ single thing that will make us lose weight. But with that said — aren’t you still wondering: Should I take Raspberry Ketones?

What Are Raspberry Ketones?

Raspberry Ketones are compounds that give raspberries their distinct aroma and unique flavor. Some other names you might find this supplement labeled as, are red raspberry ketone and European red raspberry. This is good to know because if you just search raspberry ketones on the internet, you will not find all the information you were hoping to find. Some known fat burners that already contain raspberry ketones in it are QuickTrim and Apidexin. I’ve only heard of one of two, being QuickTrim – as most of us know this as the Kardashians brand.

How It Works:

Raspberry Ketones do provide protection from obesity and have lipid metabolizing properties (the same that capsaicin found in chili pepper plants has). In other words, Raspberry Ketones induce cells to burn stored fat. It is beneficial for getting rid of weight problems by minimizing the chain of fatty acids and raising norepinephine-induced body fat breakdown, or lioplysis.

  • Raspberry Ketones have at least 2 anti-obesity effects: decreased absorption of dietary fats and increased fat breakdown.
  • It breaks down fat without stimulating the nervous system, unlike most of the thermogenics out there.
  • Helps improve body composition and cholesterol levels.
  • When you crave sugar, ketones help the digestive system to break down the stored fat and convert it into energy.
  • Raspberry Ketone is all natural.

The substance has been approved by the FDA as “generally safe” since 1965 when the supplement was discovered and originally researched.

One of the claims made by Lisa Lynn (who was featured on Dr. Oz) was that the product helped many of her clients break through weight loss plateaus when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and daily exercise. For breakfast and lunch she recommends 100-200 mg, which is equivalent to about 90 pounds of fresh raspberries.

Conclusion

If there’s one thing we know about dieting, it’s that what might work for one person might not for another. Raspberry ketones, just like some other supplements (CLA, green tea, acai, etc.) have a ton of healthy benefits, but if you have diabetes, a heart condition, COPD or asthma it is advised to use with caution. Raspberry Ketones were not meant to be used alone, so it’s best to stick to the old fashioned “eating healthy and exercise” lifestyle and proper supplementation to lose weight and keep it off for good. My advice is, if you’re interested in it and/or curious to know how it’s benefits may affect you, then try it out. It is available at numerous retailers, and also online.

If you’re interested in buying it online, then you can click here to order it through a well-known vendor and receive a free bottle offer.

I’d also LOVE to hear if you’ve tried taking it yet? Have you seen that difference? Leave a comment below!
